Area of Specialization	Novel multifunctional medical devices based on metallurgy, chemical metallurgy or related materials science and engineering, including novel material design, electrochemistry, material process, hybridization, novel surface functionalization, sensor, actuator, MEMS, etc. Desirable candidates are researchers who will challenge new interdisciplinary academic fields by the synergy through the collaboration with other researchers in different academic fields, and is stronglymotivated to explore novel medical metal-based materials to innovate conventional medical devices toward post-Corona’ era.
Job Description	The successful candidate will be required to be in following affiliations. (Research) Institute of Innovative Research  Primary: Laboratory for Materials and Structures (60%)  Secondary: Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology (40%) (Education) School of Materials and Chemical Technology  Department of Materials Science and Engineering  Course: Human Centered Science and Biomedical Engineering The successful candidate will be required to engage in research, teach, and supervise graduate and undergraduate students in English and Japanese.
