The first message: Asst. Prof. Wan-Ting CHIU（February 1, 2020）

Wan-Ting CHIU, who is working as an assistant professor in Hosoda-Lab in Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology (FIRST), Institute of Innovative Research (IIR) from 1 February 2020. She won the scholarship during her doctoral course from both Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association and JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists (DC). She graduated from September 2018 and received her doctoral degree in engineering.
After her graduation, she worked as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Overseas Researchers (PD) in Institute of Industrial Science, the University of Tokyo. In the future, she will take the advantages of her research backgrounds in alloy, phase diagram, electrochemistry to develop and investigate the mechanical, chemical, and biological properties of the shape memory alloy for the medical applications.
