Asst. Prof. Yosuke Mizuno, Heeyoung Lee (D2), and Prof. Kentaro Nakamura, FIRST, IIR, and their collaborators (Neisei Hayashi, RCAST, University of Tokyo, and Hideyuki Fukuda, Servo Laboratory, FANUC Corporation) received the Optics Design Award 2018 from the Optics Design Group, Optical Society of Japan, for their work “Distributed fiber-optic sensing with highest-ever spatial resolution and operating speed”.
